The Secret history

Psalm 42:1 “As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, O God.” Have you ever thought why the psalmist might have taken the example of a deer to describe his longing for GOD. Let me quote a few thoughts to ponder on which came to my mind as i read this.

The deer is the one as we all know the most hunted animal in many parts of western and urban countries as a hobby.But Usually the animal is hunted by all other fierceful animals like the LION and the CHEETAH for their food.All the while i thought may be the deers must have had tough time running and running for survival.Because if they stayed in the forest they get hunted by animals and if they stayed outer they get hunted by people.What a plight of their fate!!! May be thats why you tend to find them grazing alone amidst rocks and clefts mostly.

In this process of running all through their life they get so thirsty that their need for water is an intense necessity to them than anyother beast of the fields.That may be the reason where the psalmist says i need you GOD to that extent where you are a necessity in my life than to anybody else.The truth is that in this course of their run for life they attained the most swiftest feet and their soles must have become the most applicable shoes for running!!As it says in Habakkuk 3:19 “The Sovereign LORD is my strength; he makes my feet like the feet of a deer, he enables me to go on the heights.” May be Deers are the ones which can easily run up heights and climb mountains with the swiftness they attained and learnt in this run for their life.

Today if you are the one who is running on and on from the troubles of life and are finding it difficult to sustain like the deer either in the forest or in the country because wherever you are,you are being hunted down to death then this is the promise that GOD is giving you today “Habakkuk 3:19”.He is making your feet so swift that neither the fierceful enemy nor his decieved people will ever be able to catch you since GOD is helping you climb up on to the clifts of Blessing and mountains of GLORY.He is making you so fast that you can climb up heights with much ease than anybody else.He wants you to climb up and feed on the greenest pastures on the mountains and on the most peaceful environment that no man/beast can scare or dare even disturb you.As Psalm 23:2 “He makes me lie down in green pastures,he leads me beside quiet waters.”

Trust GOD and look upto him.You are going to a place than you never might have even known.He is preparing you to bless as well as to lead you into those green pastures.Stay blessed!!
